Acentron is seeking a Senior User Experience (UX) Specialist for a contract to hire opportunity in Columbia, SC.  The UX Specialist will ensure that the company’s websites and web applications provide a rich, user-friendly experience across multiple platforms including desktop, smartphone and tablet. 

The UX Specialist will:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders across the organization to develop sound business strategies for the Web while representing the customer voice and supporting branding standards. 
• Gather information from internal and external customers to produce wireframes, workflows, user scenarios and other documentation
• Conduct usability tests
• Present Web strategies and interface designs to internal stakeholders
• Manage multiple, concurrent projects in different stages 

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Factors, Marketing, Communications or related field, and at least 5 years of experience in user-centered design principles, usability testing and interactive marketing in an agency or corporate environment.  Experience with UX and usability softwares such as Adobe Photoshop, Balsamiq, Morae, and Camtasia are preferred.  Experience with HTML and CSS would be helpful.   

Candidates will need to be able to submit a portfolio of work samples if selected for an interview.
