Manufacturing Equipment Service Technician
Acentron is recruiting to fill a Manufacturing Equipment Service Technician position for placement at an Automotive manufacturing company in Greer, SC. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and modification of automotive manufacturing and test equipment. You will oversee equipment modification for process change, new models, and expansions. Responsibilities also include the maintenance and update of process documentation. This position has an hourly rate of $26.00 per hour and requires candidate testing prior to interview.
Qualifications Include:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in high levels of automation and PLC controls with the ability to go online with processor using a laptop and modify ladder rungs as necessary
- Siemens PLC S7 experience (preferred)
- Minimum of 3-5 years hands on experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical, electrical, electronic systems and PC based controls ( i.e. A/C drives, complex electrical diagrams, PLC ladder logic, multiple types of sensors)
- Extensive hands on troubleshooting of Pneumatics and repair of complex Air Logic component/systems
- Basic knowledge of Hydraulics with the ability to perform seal replacements, component replacement and troubleshooting
- Siemens PLC S7 experience (preferred)
- Associate Degree or BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Responsibilities include:
- Electrical installation and troubleshooting
- PLC Troubleshooting
- Pneumatic installation, troubleshooting, and repair
- Hydraulic installation, troubleshooting and repair
- Mechanical installation, troubleshooting and repair
- Resolving machine quality issues
- Hands on mechanic for simple to complex, light (6 oz.) to heavy (4 ton) machinery (i.e. robots, conveyors, lift tables, cable belt elevators)
Excellent pay rates with benefits! This is a long-term renewable contract position.
All applicants for this position should be willing to work on either day shift or night shift. Each shift may have different rotation models based on an 8 hour shift or a 10 hour shift as production needs necessitate. The shift models cross all seven days of the week.
